Jessica Stockholder
Stockholder is a sculptor and illstallation artist. She combines everyday consumer and household items using them to create a piece of art. Paint and colour are often used in her sculptures. The found objects and materials Stockholder use are commonplace. She forms the installations to capture the viewer by using objects which we may consider to have little value. The reason I chose Stockholder as one of my artsist references is because I think her artwork is really effective in terms of bringing colour and installation together. Another reason I was also drawn in by her work is because I could see a slight similarity to the group object project, using everyday objects and bringing bright colours to the work.
